How to Make Chinese Knot Jewelry: Flat Knot

The next to be introduced as a Chinese Ornamental Knot Jewelry is the Flat Knot. To the western culture, this knot is know as square knot or reef knot. For the Greeks, it's called Hercules knot. This is how it looks like.

This knot, I guess is familiar to everyone because it's usually used in friendship bracelets.

Just like this Crazy Bead Hemp bracelet. It's fun to make Flat Knots because they're very easy but one should remember that no matter how easy it is, the color combination should be carefully chosen so to give any jewelry a very cool look. The bracelet below has bold colors but because it was carefully chosen the bracelet looked very good.

It's also fun to experiment this knot with beads like this sodalite fishbone choker.
