Lace is sexy, they say. Laces are usually used in lingerie apparels and bridal gowns but are rarely used on jewelry. For those fashion enthusiasts, anything and everything around is a potential material for a good art piece.

These one of a kind pendants is created by Dishfunctional Designs. It feature snips of delicate antique lace sandwiched between glass and accented with a coordinating Swarovski crystal.


Another website that I found features wearable art made out of laces. Radmila Zuman took inspiration from the natives of Czechoslovakia, the Netherlands, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Australia, England and Slovakia and added a zest of her own style. According to her website, she admires the skills of a lace maker who made the laces she loves to collect. She taught lace making for more than 25 years and has had many exhibitions of her creations, a number of awards and has published a couple of books about lace making.
Her collection includes lapel pins, necklaces, bracelets, pendants and hats. Here are some of the examples:
